Skilled Worker Visa

Are you wondering how your colleagues, friends, or relatives got an opportunity to work in Canada? You, too, can immigrate to the country as a skilled worker and gain your right to live and work in the country for a permanent amount of time. Canada is a highly-developed country that encourages foreigners who are skilled to become a part of the country and take lead in improving the economic condition. For that purpose, the immigration department of Canada inaugurated a program called Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) Program in 1967 to choose skillful and experienced immigrants from all around the world to apply for skilled worker visas.

The FSW program has become a part of the Express Entry system as of January 2015. So, if you want to apply for a certain program, you are required to fill it out through the above-mentioned system. However, it is also mandatory to follow the guidelines provided by the immigration department of Canada as the process is applicable to selected individuals. Candidates who have met the demands can apply for the process and obtain a skilled worker visa.

Here is a detailed explanation of what you may need in order to successfully complete and obtain your skilled worker visa

Work experience is the most required and mandatory aspect of the skilled Foreign Skilled Worker program. Candidates must work full-time (minimum 30 hours per week) and have skilled work experience for at least 12 months during the past 10 years. Your work experience is needed to be on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) of Skill Type 0, Skill Level A, or Skill Level B. Part-time work experience is also counted as long as you complete the requirement of 1560 hours

Language Ability and Education for FSW Program

Language can become a barrier when it comes to working abroad. Hence, it is mandatory for candidates who wish to apply for a skilled worker visa to participate in the language test. The two major languages used in Canada are English and French. You are required to be fluent in any of these languages and qualify for the examination, including
